Aquarius Diving Club is the first club in Hurghada to offer freediving or breath-hold diving. Freedivers enjoy diving in water without being disturbed by breathing apparatus such as scuba equipment. On a single breath of air you can explore the underwater environment for minutes at a time with relative comfort.
Freediving is ideal for snorkelers who want to spend longer time under water to make pictures or simply to mingle as one with the fish. Freediving is also very interesting for divers who want to make longer dives by lowering their air consumption. Aquarius Diving Club meets ISO quality standards!
We are proud to announce that Aquarius Diving Club has become one of the first diving centres in the Red Sea to be certified for meeting the international standards (EN 14467/ISO 24803) for recreational diving.
In order to receive this certification all areas related to recreational diving and snorkelling were inspected. Maintenance of equipment and compressors, qualifications of staff, and provision of services according to agreed safety standards. It means our guests can be assured they receive the highest quality in teaching standards and can safely enjoy the diving and snorkeling services we provide.

New! PADI Instructor Courses at Aquarius Citadel Azur Resort
Aquarius Diving Club at the Citadel Azur Resort in Sahl Hasheesh has become a PADI 5* Gold Palm Instructor Development Centre. This means we will now be able to teach up to PADI Instructor level. The first Instructor Development Course (IDC) has already taken place this month with a passing rate of 100%.
The facilities at the Aquarius Citadel Azur Resort are magnificent and make learning the complex instructor skills easy! All classroom and confined water training sessions are held on-site. The Open Water Training section of the course will be done from the dive boat. If you are interested in diving into the most fantastic job in the world then join Aquarius for the Padi Instructor Course. Our own Course Director Mr San Kim is already looking forward to training more new instructors to teach the world to dive!

Aquarius supports German school visit
Recently Aquarius supported HEPCA with hosting a 2 day event for 67 school children and 7 teachers from the Erich Kaestner School in Germany. A presentation and a snorkeling safari was organised to the reefs of Abu Nuger and Iris aboard the boats Zena and Nada from our Aquarius diving Club at Palm Beach Resort. The children learnt about reef conservation whilst enjoying the chance to explore the Red Sea first hand. The event was organised after the headmaster of the school contacted HEPCA. Aquarius Diving Club offers you scuba diving/snorkeling videos from our own Underwater Video Team. Your best holiday souvenir ever! Every day our own videographer is joining you on our diving boats where we take high quality footage of you above and below water. At the end of the day you can see and order your video directly in the diving center.
At the moment you can find our Underwater Video Team on our boats in Marriott Resort, Sunrise Crystal Bay Resort and Citadel Azur Resort. Soon we will be offering our Underwater Video Service in all Aquarius Diving Clubs.
