Opened in 2001, AQUARIUS Marsa Alam is located on the beach at Tunduba Bay in our own Awlad Baraka Ecolodge. It is 14km south of Marsa Alam and this is, by far, the most laid back centre in the group, if not the Red Sea. A deserted island in the Pacific would look crowded by comparison. If you are doing a course and need to study you can choose the classroom, comfy chair in the sun, sit on our private jetty and dangle your feet in the sea or ask one of our staff to sling you a hammock. The choice is yours! If you are looking for that “away from it all place” then this is it. That is except that it is only 200 metres from diving our house reef.

Many of our guests stay at our own Awlad Baraka Ecolodge which is only 500 metres from the dive centre. For those staying in other Marsa Alam hotels and resorts we arrange for transfers to and from the centre for courses and dive tours.
The diving beach on Tunduba Bay includes the jetty, the equipment wet room and the diving preparation shelter. The Diving Club centre is on the beach 200 metres from the jetty and includes a beach restaurant, a bar, the diving centre, the surf centre and AQUARIUS diving school.
This tranquil centre is run by a very capable PADI Master Scuba Diver and Trainer, with the support of a team of 2 Instructors and 2 Dive Masters.
Training and guiding is in French, German, Italian, English, Russian and Arabic. |
| Aquarius Diving Club meets ISO quality standards! |
Aquarius Diving Club at Marsa Alam is certified as meeting international standards (EN 14467/ISO 24803) for recreational diving.
In order to receive this certification all areas related to recreational diving and snorkelling are regularly inspected. Like maintenance of equipment and compressors, qualifications of staff, and provision of services according to agreed safety standards. It means our guests can be assured they receive the highest quality in teaching standards and can safely enjoy the diving and snorkeling services we provide. |
Upon arrival, you are briefed on the Tunduba area, the accessible dive sites and the house reef where the divers can enjoy the unlimited dive package.
After completing the check-in form, we will sort out your diving for the day(s). We can arrange to hire you any equipment you need from our rental stock.
Your first dive with us will be a Check Dive at our house reef with one of our Instructors or Dive Masters. Should you need we can also arrange a PADI Scuba Review.
Once your Check Dive or Scuba Review have been successfully completed you can chose to dive from the variety of excursion dives or dive at the house reef. Many divers, once familiar with the house reef, enjoy the freedom of buddy diving as and when they please in the splendor and safety of the house reef. |
Aquarius Marsa Alam is a PADI Gold Palm dive center with all the facilities you would expect for training courses and dive tour support.
Our school has 2 designated DVD and video equipped classrooms. Confined water training is in the shallow waters off the beach.
Other facilities include a restaurant, bar, toilets, beach showers, hammocks, sun shelters, shop and either a truck or donkey to cart your gear around. |
| During your stay, you might want to use the videographer services. They can organise a videographer on the boat or around the centre to take some nice footage and edit it on to DVD or video tape.

AQUARIUS Diving Club was started in Hurghada, with one centre, in 1996. We now have 9 centres; 2 in Hurghada, 1 in Makadi Bay, 1 in Sahl Hasheesh, 4 in Sharm El Sheikh and 1 at Marsa Alam. We are planning to open new centres in the future.
AQUARIUS Diving Club has a strong commitment to diver training, both for beginners and experienced divers. All our centres are PADI Gold Palm standard and we continuously review our procedures, protocol and staff training to maintain the highest standards.
As seasoned divers ourselves, we appreciate that diving is for fun and enjoyment. Our staff are there to support your needs and make your time with us as easy and trouble free as possible. At the same time we are aware that you need to be able to enjoy your diving safely. We place great emphasis on ensuring health and safety at all times including regular equipment maintenance, review of boat conditions and staff education.
Over the years we have enjoyed a good reputation with our guests and have many repeat visitors. Some come to dive with us several times a year; year after year. We have a reputation of excellence that we are proud of.
