AQUARIUS in Sharm El Sheikh is located at the Sheraton Hotel with fantastic views across the Red Sea of Tiran Island. The dive centre is on the beach with access to a purpose built diver training pool and from the hotel jetty we can descend to the north end of one of Sharm’s most famous local reefs, Far Garden.
The Sheraton lies a few kilometers north of Naama Bay, the resort centre, and around 10km south of the Sharm El Sheikh International Airport.
The centre is under the management of Mohammed Kassem with an international staff of over 40 people. Training and guiding is in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Arabic. |
| Aquarius Diving Club meets ISO quality standards! |
Aquarius Diving Club at the Sheraton Resort is certified as meeting international standards (EN 14467/ISO 24803) for recreational diving.
In order to receive this certification all areas related to recreational diving and snorkelling are regularly inspected. Like maintenance of equipment and compressors, qualifications of staff, and provision of services according to agreed safety standards. It means our guests can be assured they receive the highest quality in teaching standards and can safely enjoy the diving and snorkeling services we provide. |
Checking in at the centre on the first day is simple. Our staff will help you with the check-in procedure, medical statement and if needed we can supply you with your equipment needs from our extensive range of branded gear.
For diving tours we will start with a check dive at the house reef or from one of our specialised dive boats, or for those short on time we can arrange for speed boat diving which only takes around 1½ hours.
For those undertaking courses the training starts at the centre immediately after check-in.
We provide free transfers to the centre from all the hotels and accommodation in the Sharm El Sheikh area. If you have pre-booked your diving with us we will agree your pickup time by the evening before at the latest. |
We are a PADI Gold Palm Resort, offering numerous PADI courses from Discover Scuba Diving to Master Scuba Diver. For the courses we have 3 designated video equipped classrooms and a 3 metre deep pool for the skill training. See the course descriptions here.
At the centre you’ll also find showers and rinsing facilities for your equipment, and you are welcome to use the Sheraton facilities of beach, loungers, swimming pools, cafes and restaurants. |
| On our boats and at the centre you’ll find our underwater videographers. A videographer will join and film you and the other guests diving from the boats or film you while you are doing a course at the centre. By the end of the day we will have a video show with clips from both above and under water. Copies are available for sale. |
AQUARIUS Diving Club was started in Hurghada, with one centre, in 1996. We now have 9 centres; 2 in Hurghada, 1 in Makadi, 1 in Sahl Hasheesh, 4 in Sharm El Sheikh and 1 at Marsa Alam. We are planning to open new centres in the future.
AQUARIUS Diving Club has a strong commitment to diver training, for beginners and experienced divers. All our centres are PADI Gold Palm standard and we continuously review our procedures, protocol and staff training to maintain the highest of standards.
As seasoned divers throughout we appreciate that diving is for fun and enjoyment. Our staff are there to support your needs and make your time with us as easy and trouble free as possible. At the same time we are aware that you need to be able to enjoy your diving secure. We place great emphasis on ensuring health and safety at all times including continues equipment maintenance, boat conditions and staff education.
Over the years we have enjoyed a good reputation with our guests and have many repeat visitors. Some come to dive with us several times a year; year after year. A reputation of excellence that we are proud of. |
