| Boat Excursions from Makadi Bay |
From Makadi Bay jetty we operate 3 boats specifically tailored for diving. All our boats provide superb facilities for divers gear, gearing up and, as you would expect, water ease for safe water entry and egress. Spacious saloon areas and open upper decks provide for comfort, relaxation and, of course, catching a tan or taking a well earned nap. The galley and crew will keep you nourished as needed and ensure you are supplied with tea, coffee, mineral water and soft drinks. The onboard washroom facilities provide freshwater showers.
Maintaining the companies philosophy of safety, each boat is fitted with VHF, SAR calling systems and life jackets. The boat crew consists of Captain and 2 support crew, all trained in boat handling and emergency management. Dive Guides, who accompany all dive tours, are Emergency First Response trained, especially relating to diving associated medical needs and are fully conversant with accessing the local doctor, hospital and chamber support.
Full day boat trips depart from the jetty around 9.00am and provide for 2 or 3 dives, lunch on board and travelling to a variety of dive sites throughout the area to ensure different destinations from day to day. Jetty to dive site travelling time varies from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on sites and sea conditions. We return to the jetty around 4:30pm providing amply time to transfer you back to your hotel and accommodation to enable you to rest and ready for enjoying the resorts nightlife.

Half day boat trips leave the jetty morning and afternoon for a single dive. The morning departure is at 8:00am returning around 11:00am with the afternoon session leaving at 1:00pm and back about 4:00pm. These trips visit the more local sites and journey times are only 10 to 30 minutes. Being short trips food isn’t available on board but plenty there are soft drinks and water.
If members of your family or friends are non divers they are very welcome to join you on our boat trips, for a small fee. Great opportunity for them to top up their suntans and become expert bubble watchers, whilst you dive.
The jetty for departure is only a 15 minute minibus ride from our centre and our staff will ensure that your dive gear is transferred to the boat for you. |
