Aquarius Diving Club meets ISO quality standards!

We are proud to announce that Aquarius Diving Club has become one of the first diving centres in the Red Sea to be certified for meeting the international standards (EN 14467/ISO 24803) for recreational diving.

In order to receive this certification all areas related to recreational diving and snorkelling were inspected. Maintenance of equipment and compressors, qualifications of staff, and provision of services according to agreed safety standards. It means our guests can be assured they receive the highest quality in teaching standards and can safely enjoy the diving and snorkelling services we provide.

Aquarius branded clothes: designed by divers for divers!

If you want great, comfortable dive wear, then come to our Aquarius Diving Shops to check out our own branded dive wear. You can choose between different styles of board-shorts, polo’s, fleece sweaters and t-shirts (both in male and female models). All made from top quality 100% cotton.

Also available are diving accessories, snorkeling gear and Red Sea books. The idea behind our branded dive wear is to offer good quality clothing and accessories, designed by divers for divers and their families. Aquarius also offers a great range for kids! So come and visit any Aquarius Diving Club to have a look at our branded collection of dive wear.

New! Aquarius Diving Club offers free diving!

Aquarius Diving Club is the first diving club in Hurghada to offer freediving or breath-hold diving. Freedivers enjoy diving in water without being disturbed by breathing apparatus such as scuba equipment. On a single breath of air you can explore the underwater environment for minutes at a time with relative comfort.

Freediving is ideal for snorkelers who want to spend longer time under water to make pictures or simply to mingle as one with the fish. Freediving is also very interesting for divers who want to make longer dives by lowering their air consumption. If you want to know more about freediving then click here to find out all the details and prices.

Splash for trash!

Dive for trash with Aquarius Diving Club in the week of 22 April 2009. In partnership with the Project Aware foundation, Aquarius Diving Club in Hurghada, Sahl Hasheesh and Makadi Bay will join in the International Dive for Earth Day.

By participating in this event you are not only part of local cleanup efforts but part of a global team in various locations throughout 100 countries and territories. Bring your friends and family to help make clean waters a reality. To volunteer please visit one of our Aquarius Diving Clubs or e-mail us at info@aquariusredsea.com

Guest in Marsa Alam painting while under water!

Did you ever hear of a diver who is painting the reefs while being under water? Neither did we! But recently we received a very special guest in our Diving Club at Marsa Alam who came to us especially to paint the reefs while diving under water.

On the picture you can see Andre in action with one of his paintings. We enjoyed our time with Andre and hope we can meet him again soon for more fantastic painting under water!

Your diving experience with Aquarius Diving Club

‘Just the way diving should be!’

I did my open water course with Aquarius in Sharm el Sheikh and returned to do my advanced earlier this year. My kids did the junior scuba diver and open water course. Brilliant, thoroughly professional  and at the same time chilled and fun. Just the way diving should be! Special thanks to the brilliant staff at the Holiday Village and the Coral Sea Resort. Highlights; Thistlegorm, but best of all Hammerheads. What a dive!

Nigel sent us this email about his diving experience with Aquarius Sharm el Sheikh. If you would like to share your experience with one of our Aquarius Diving Clubs then simply send us an email at dive@aquariusredsea.com and maybe next time you will find your email in one of our newsletters.

Diving shows in Germany and Holland big success!

We would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who visited us at our stands in the German Bootshow and the Dutch dive show Duikvaker 2009.

We had a great time meeting you all again in your home country and hope to welcome you soon for a fantastic diving holiday with one of our Aquarius Diving Clubs.

In the spotlights: Butterfly Fish

Butterfly fish range in size between 10-20 cm and prefer to live near healthy coral reefs in the 5-15 mtr depth range. In general, they have flattened deep bodies that give them exceptional maneuverability in confined areas. They also have a protruding snout with a tiny mouth that allows them to nibble at coral polyps.

Most of the Red Sea species have some form of an eye mask to camouflage eye movement. Most of them are active during the day, resting among corals or rocks at night. You can find them in pairs or groups and most of them are heterosexual pairs that may remain together for years, if not life.

And finally come along and visit us in one of our Aquarius Clubs around the Red Sea. We are looking forward to welcoming you again!
