For boat excursions with AQUARIUS Makadi Bay we can offer you either speed diving from the speedboat or full day boat trips from our own specialised dive boats.
If you have non-diving friends or family with you they can, subject to availability, join you on the trips for soaking up the sun, bubble watching and snorkelling if they desire.
Both speedboats and day boats leave from our own jetty only a few metres down our beach. Our staff will ensure your gear is moved to and from the boats as needed.

Speedboat diving is ideal for our coastal dive sites as the whole trip usually lasts less than 1½ hours after which divers can come back to a well earned rest on the beach or swing from a hammock with a cool refreshing drink in hand.
We have 3 ribs for speed boat diving: a 7.5 metres which can carry 12 divers and gear and 2, a tad shorter, at 7.2 metres for up to 10 divers. All are equipped with a 125hp outboard engines, an oxygen cylinder, an emergency first aid kit and a portable VHF radio. They are piloted by skilled local boat captains, who will help the guests during their entry and exit out of the water. |
If you would prefer to dive from a normal daily boat, you will have at your disposal 2 wooden boats. AQUARIUS 4, 18m long with the capacity for 25 divers and SHARM EL BEHAR, 16m long with a capacity for 15 divers.
The boats normally go out in the morning for 2 dives with lunch served onboard between dives. Both have a zodiac with outboard which is exceedingly useful for drift dives. Each boat has a crew of one captain, a seaman, a cook and the zodiac pilot, all ready to serve you.
A relaxing day’s diving is guaranteed with plenty of time to enjoy the banter of fellow divers, take the odd nap, catch up on the reading, soak up the rays and feel sorry for all those work mates, friends and family back home.
