DIVE SITES IN SHARM EL SHEIKH

Diving in Sharm El Sheikh you will find dive sites suitable for the experienced and new divers. The Red Sea around Sharm El Sheikh is known for it’s rich variety of both fish and coral, and with a visibility of 25m most of the year, this is a perfect place to dive. Sharm El Sheikh offers diving in 3 main areas, Ras Mohammed, Strait of Tiran and the Local dive sites, click on the map below to go to a specific dive site.

Ras Mohammed

Ras Mohammed is the National Park of South Sinai and located on the very tip of the Sinai Penninsula, it probably represents some of the most famous dive sites not only in the Red Sea but the world. 800 metre deep reef walls and pounding current on one hand, and on the other, some of the most beautiful coral gardens you can imagine. The seas around the point are very rich in plankton and other foods giving tremendous growth of stony and soft corals which in turn attracts large schools of reef and pelagic fish. The easy food source in turn attracts barracuda, jackfish, tuna and shark. The divesites of Ras Mohammed.

Strait of Tiran

Going up into the Gulf of Aquaba you will find Tiran Island, between the coasts of Sinai and Saudi Arabia. As if on a string going from Tiran Island to the Sinai Coast, 4 reefs are positioned one after the other. The 4 reefs, Gordon, Thomas, Woodhouse and Jackson, are rich on current, corals and fish. All along the coastline of Sharm El Sheikh, from Hadaba to Nabq, lie coastal reefs. Large varieties of dive sites ranging from sheltered mooring dives to lively drift dives provide diving for all levels, rich in corals and fish. Many of the local dive sites are closer to the jetty affording easier access. The local divesites.
